My wife and I talked about this Market America business a little and decided we'd hold off on any decisions since honestly $130 dollars was going to be hard to part with because it was the holiday season. Now it's spring and my wife and I decided her management job was unhealthy for her mental health and it was time for her to leave her work at work permanently and be a stay at home mom once again. We are thinking this is a perfect time to jump aboard the UnFranchise bandwagon and make (hopefully) some decent money from home. We aren't looking for riches. Just a reliable income that can be worked on in bits and pieces while performing parenting and home making.
So we are now looking in to starting up this MLM or whatever it is. But information that appears credible is hard to come by on the web. Wikipedia doesn't even have a listing for this company? Most of the opinions that are negative are clearly given by people that have never dealt with Market America. I haven't found any proof that they are a scam. And the Better Business Bureau gives the company a perfect score. I see plenty of discussions online made by Market America distributors, or "UnFranchised business owners" that claim to already made their dream income, but few of them seem to attempt to recruit in their posts so that gives me the uneasy feeling that the posts were created by some sort of damage control team.
I plan to write more blog entries as I find out more about Market America and sort out the information that I already know. If any readers has any input about the company, and it's business model, I'd love to hear from you. I'm interested mainly hearing from people who work or worked for, or know a friend or relative who works for Market America.
